My name is Michael D. Hebert (pronounced A-bear, like A Bear in the Woods. It’s a Cajun name).

 

I served as an officer in the Navy SEALs, and after Vietnam went on to serve as a CIA Operations Officer.

 

I have operated in 80 countries. I speak or have spoken several foreign languages.

 

My main languages now are French, Spanish and Farsi/Dari, with functionality in Greek, German and Russian. Several others have gone by the wayside – Hindi, Bengali, Hausa, Swahili, Macedonian, from lack of use.
